Yakuza 0 - It’s basically just a beat em up with a criminal soap opera story. But man does it execute on that concept well. Highly recommend, also the substories are hilarious. I didn’t finish them all on stream because some are just too much for stream but it is amazing.

Yakuza Kiwami - Basically all the same things I said about Yakuza 0 could be said about this one, which isn’t a complaint. The story is somewhat unique, though it follows a lot of the same story beats, and had me ready for more at each turn.

Yakuza Kiwami 2 - More of the same great stuff I have come to expect from Yakuza. I like the progression system in this one a little bit more if only because it felt like things were moving faster. And boy was there a graphical leap from Kiwami 1. Amazing story, and the characters have actually had some development that I really enjoyed. Highly recommend playing.

Yakuza 3 Remastered - Definitely a more simple game than what I got used to with the previous entries, but the story was still amazing! I might recommend checking out Kiwami 3 instead since it is most likely going to feel more like a polished experience, but worth checking out for the story regardless.

Yakuza 4 Remastered - More of the great story telling of the Yakuza Series. This time you are jumping between POV characters who each have their own fighting styles and parts to play in the story. They did a great job of wrapping everything into one overarching plotline and the characters certainly feel unique. I do wish I could have just stuck it out as one character so I could simply get used to their fighting style but a lot of what was used here got put into the styles in 0.

Yakuza 5 Remastered - Another Yakuza with multiple POV characters. The plot was pretty interesting. I could have done with out some of the mandatory minigame and side content stuff however. Through the course of the game I had to: Drive a taxi, do wilderness survival, play rhythm games, and play baseball. Combat was definitely more tuned and most of the characters were pretty enjoyable to me. Generally thought pretty highly of this one with some minor complaints.

Yakuza 6 The Song of Life - Yakuza went back to a singular POV character. The combat got cleaned up. And the story feels larger. So much intrigue and interwoven plots in this one, and it felt like a really great conclusion to Kiryu’s story arc in the franchise. This one really knocked it out of the park
